How to Measure an Automotive Screen
Prepare useful dimensions and photographs for a custom automotive screen protector request.
1. Identify the configuration
Record vehicle brand, model, model year, sales market and trim. Photograph the complete dashboard and identify which display needs protection.
2. Measure the intended coverage
Record width and height of the proposed protected area in millimeters. Include bezel boundaries, corner shape and cutouts. A diagonal measurement does not capture the complete outline.
3. Show the edges clearly
Take a front-on photograph with a scale reference. Avoid perspective distortion. If a drawing is available, provide it with dimensions and the intended edge clearance.
4. Validate with a sample
Measurements support a development review; they do not replace sample fitting. Confirm edge clearance, touch response and visibility on the target display before approval.
